GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY

Official ground-breaking ceremonies were held today for the new Madoc Township Fire Hall. This $1.2M state of the art facility will serve the Township and surrounding areas for years to come.

“This new Firehall is the culmination of years of work and planning, and is a tribute to our community and dedicated fire services personnel”, remarked Mayor Loyde Blackburn.

Ground-breaking ceremonies included local leaders, staff and contractor Cornerstone Construction at the new site, 15651 Hwy 62, beside the existing Municipal Complex.

Marco Turcotte from Cornerstone Construction added “Cornerstone takes great pride working on important community based projects that ultimately help everyone. This is going to be an exciting project to be a part of”
