Description: Island Park is located on the picturesque Trent River. The park has almost 100 acres of wooded land for you to explore. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings, good fishing, boating or lazing on the beach in the sun. Take a cool dip in the clear waters or bask on one of our floating docks. Your children will enjoy our fully equipped playground and nature trails. Island Park is within 10 minutes of the Towns of Stirling and Campbellford, and only 20 minutes from the cities of Trenton and Belleville. Five golf courses, Cinemax, Quinte Mall, Stirling festival Theatre, churches, Pinnacle Playhouse, nature walks, horseback riding, nice restaurants – you name it – it’s all nearby. Whatever your enjoyment you can find it at Island Park. We offer large, well-maintained, shady or open sites all close to the water. All sites have hydro, water and sewage facilities, picnic tables and fireplaces with wood available in the park. In the park or along the river, there is always room for quiet relaxation together with organized activities. A clean sandy beech and safe swimming is truly unique in these days of overcrowding. Island Park is located on Wilson Island between locks 7 & 8 of the Trent Waterway. This secluded twelve mile section of the river offers excellent sport fishing (muskie, pike, pickerel, bass and crappie) canoeing, and plenty of room for water sports such as water skiing and para sailing. Docking is provided in a sheltered lagoon and your weekend will never be ruined by rough waters. Being part of the Trent-Severn Waterway offers the unique option of unlimited boating as it is one of the longest stretches of open water between locks on the lower Trent River. With being situated directly on one of Canada’s most famous waterways, boat travel is unlimited as is ‘boat ogling”’ for some of North America’s finest cruisers pass our doorstep. Our docking facilities are excellent, featuring a sheltered inlet for smaller craft and river docking for larger boats. Our variety store has all of your convenience needs. There is an abundance of muskie, pike, bass, pickerel and pan fishing in our area and many avid fishermen frequent these waters all season. We at Island Park have set a high standard of service for our customers through increased maintenance, continuing expansion and upgrading of the park; also through a set of rules and regulations beneficial to all.
